Chapter 1: The Allure of the Rabbit Hole

Beside my desk lies a peculiar rabbit hole. It has a narrow entrance, and if I’m not cautious, the wheel of my office chair can easily plunge into it. I’m acutely aware of this hole, unlike many other aspects of my life, because it possesses an irresistible charm — an alluring pull. Ooh la la.

In my childhood, rabbit holes were exclusively for rabbits; people couldn’t venture into one even if they wanted to. Nowadays, however, we all have our own — personal underground spaces brimming with delightful rabbits. Astonishingly, despite our rabbit holes being scattered globally, we share a common set of rabbits in each of them. Such is the enchanting interconnectedness of our digital burrows!
